Who we are
Expert Chase, Inc. ("we," "us") makes MAP & GO! This policy explains what we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
MAP & GO! is the app. Expert Chase is the company. E.Y.E. (spoken "eye," short for Empower Your Everyday) is the chat and voice assistant inside MAP & GO!
The Service is the MAP & GO! apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android, plus the Apple companion surfaces described below: Apple Watch, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Live Activities, the iMessage extension, and Siri and Shortcuts. Some of those Apple surfaces do not exist on Android. expertchase.com hosts this policy, the Terms of Service, and support information. It is not a place to use the product. There is no desktop app and no browser version of MAP & GO!
This policy covers the MAP & GO! Android app on Google Play (package com.expertchase.app) and the iPhone and iPad app. It describes the personal data and other user data the app accesses, collects, uses, and shares.
Data we collect and how we use it
We collect data only to run MAP & GO!: your account, your day on the map, chat with E.Y.E., optional connections you turn on, and the subscription you buy. We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train our own models or allow our AI vendor to train on it.
- Name and email. Collected when you create or edit an account, including Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Used to create your account, sign you in, and contact you about the account or support.
- Password or sign-in token. A password you choose, or a token from Apple or Google. Used only to authenticate you. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
- Approximate and precise location. On Android, only while the app is in use, if you allow it. Used to show where you are, search nearby places, request weather, and give in-app directions. You can type an address instead. A place you save on a task or event (name and coordinates) is stored with that item. We do not keep a location history or GPS trail, and we do not sell location.
- Tasks, calendar events, and reminders. Title, notes, times, completion, optional repeat rule, and optional place. Used to show your day on the map, in Tasks, and in Calendar, and to send reminders you created.
- Chat, voice, and photos you send to E.Y.E. Text you type, speech from the microphone turned into text, and up to 3 photos you attach. Used to answer you and, if Save AI Chat History is on, to show that conversation later. Voice audio is processed by OpenAI to run the conversation. Our server creates a short-lived session. The API key stays on our side.
- Account memory. Short facts you state (preferences and routines) saved on your account so later replies can use them. These are tied to your account.
- Health data you choose to connect. On Android, workouts and sleep that you authorize through Health Connect. Used to show those records in the app. You can disconnect Health Connect and delete imported workouts and sleep in Settings.
- Connected app data you authorize. If you connect Google Calendar or Google Tasks, we receive the events and tasks that connection is allowed to share. You can disconnect them in Settings and in your Google account.
- Purchase and subscription status. Whether you are on Free or Premium, and the purchase token or status from Google Play Billing. Used to unlock Premium and to know when it renews or ends. We do not collect or store your full card number. Google handles payment.
- Push token and app diagnostics. A token so we can deliver notifications you turned on, plus product analytics and crash diagnostics if Usage Analytics is on (it is on by default). You can turn Usage Analytics off in Settings. We do not use this for ads.
What the app does
MAP & GO! puts your day on a live map. Tasks and events that have a place sit on Today as tokens. Weather sits on those pins. Items without a place stay in Tasks or Calendar and are not on the map. You can ask E.Y.E. to add, find, change, and leave for the next stop. Directions stay inside the app.
The phone app has five tabs: Today, Places, Chat, Tasks, and Calendar. Settings opens from your profile. Settings includes your account, subscription, connected apps, and privacy controls.
Account and profile
When you create or edit an account we collect:
- Name and preferred name
- Password, or a token from Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google
- Timezone, taken from the device so tasks and events use local time
- Notification, privacy, and subscription preferences you set
You can delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes the account and the data tied to it, except for short-lived backups and records we must keep for law, security, or billing disputes.
Location
Location is optional in the sense that you can type an address instead of sharing GPS. The map, nearby search, weather for where you are now, and turn-by-turn directions need location permission to work that way. You can refuse location and still use tasks, calendar, and chat by typing places.
1. Permission
On iPhone, when-in-use location is for your current place, nearby tasks, maps on events, tasks, and workouts, and in-app navigation. During navigation, location stays on so turn-by-turn can update on the Lock Screen. If you allow Always / background location, we use it for nearby tasks, maps on events, tasks, and workouts, and turn-by-turn on the Lock Screen while you are navigating. You can type an address instead.
iOS background location is for that navigation session and for keeping maps and nearby items current as described in the system permission text. It is not a continuous location diary, and it is not a feature that sells or shares a movement history with advertisers.
Apple Watch asks for location when the Watch app is in use, for the Watch map and in-app directions.
On Android, the app requests approximate and precise location while the app is in use. This policy does not claim that Android collects location in the background.
2. Saved places
When you attach a place to a task or event, we save the place name and, if you picked or confirmed that place, its latitude and longitude with that item. It stays until you edit or delete the item, or delete your account. We use that place to put the item on the map, to show a map for events, tasks, and imported workouts that have a location, and to request weather at that place around the event's start time.
3. Search, weather, and routing
A one-time or in-session device location may be sent to our servers and to Apple (MapKit and WeatherKit) to answer "near me," "weather now," or a route. Nearby search covers places such as coffee, food, and other venues in Places and in chat. Weather for where you are now, and weather at a saved place, is requested from Apple WeatherKit using those coordinates. We do not keep a historical GPS trail, breadcrumb log, or always-on location archive.
Turn-by-turn directions stay inside MAP & GO! On iPhone this is MapKit, including on Apple Watch. We do not hand the trip to Google Maps or Waze. While a trip is active, location continues so the route, the next instruction, and the Lock Screen Live Activity can update.
4. Widgets, Live Activities, and Apple Watch
Widget and Watch snapshots on the device can include today's titles, times, place names, coordinates, and a short weather label so the widget can draw without opening the app. That snapshot is for your own devices (App Group / Watch sync). It is not a public feed.
5. What we do not do with location
- We do not sell location.
- We do not use location for advertising.
- We do not sell location to data brokers.
- We do not train public AI models on your location.
- We do not keep a movement history or GPS trail.
Tasks, calendar, and reminders
Tasks can include a title, notes, due time, priority, completion, an optional repeat rule, and an optional place. Calendar events can include a title, start, end, location, optional coordinates, and a category. All-day events exist. Reminders you ask for are tasks, including repeating ones. They are not a separate wellness log.
If you connect an app in Settings, we only receive what that connection is authorized to share. You can revoke a connection in Settings and in the source account. Apple's or Google's terms also apply to their side of the connection. The connections are Apple Calendar, Apple Reminders, Google Calendar, and Google Tasks. These connections are part of Premium.
Chat, voice, photos, and memory
Text chat with E.Y.E. is stored so the product can show history and continue a conversation, if you leave "Save AI Chat History" on. You can turn that off in Privacy settings.
The microphone and speech recognition turn speech into text and play spoken replies. Realtime voice audio goes from your device to OpenAI. Our server creates a short-lived session. The API key stays on our side. OpenAI processes that voice audio to run the conversation.
You can attach up to 3 images in a chat message. The camera permission exists so you can take or attach a photo for chat.
E.Y.E. can save short memories on your account (preferences, routines, and facts you state) to personalize later replies. Those memories are tied to your account. They are not anonymous.
E.Y.E. can create, edit, and delete your tasks and calendar events. Typed chat asks you to confirm an edit or delete. Voice can apply the change immediately. AI output is not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You decide what to do with it. Place results, times, and routes can be wrong.
Health
On iOS you can connect Apple Health and pick categories. What we import to our servers is workouts and sleep, after you connect Health in Settings. Today's step count can show on Apple Watch and widgets and stays on the device. We do not upload steps.
On Android, Health Connect works the same way for workouts and sleep you authorize. Health Connect is not an iOS integration. We do not write to Apple Health.
You can disconnect Health, and you can delete previously imported workouts and sleep from our servers in Settings. Imported workouts and sleep stay until you delete them, disconnect and delete that cloud health data, or delete your account, except for short-lived backups and records we must keep for law, security, or a billing dispute.
Health data is informational. MAP & GO! is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. Apple Health and Health Connect are part of Premium.
Apple companions
These are features on your own devices, fed by your account data. They are not a way we share your day with other people.
- Widgets: Today map, Up Next, Tasks, and E.Y.E. (talk or type) on the Home Screen. Lock Screen: Up Next and Tasks. They show your titles, times, places, weather chips, and countdowns.
- Live Activities: one while you are talking with E.Y.E., and one while a trip is in progress.
- Apple Watch: Today list and a live map, mark a task done, delete an event, start in-app directions, and a health glance (steps on the device, plus sleep and workouts). The iPhone needs to be nearby to sync.
- iMessage: you can send Today or ask E.Y.E. from Messages. Content you choose to send in a message is then governed by Apple's messaging, not only by us.
- Siri (Premium): add tasks and hear today's schedule without opening the app, after you connect it in Settings. Shortcuts is part of that connection.
- Notifications and alarms for reminders you created.
Subscriptions
Free includes the core app: the map, tasks, calendar, and limited E.Y.E. E.Y.E. is limited to 30 messages per month, resetting on the 1st. Voice turns count toward that same cap.
Premium is $19 per month or $199 per year. Premium is unlimited E.Y.E., the connected apps listed above, Siri, Apple Health or Health Connect, and priority support.
Purchases in the iPhone and iPad app are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat tells us your App Store subscription status. Apple's terms and privacy policy apply, and refunds and billing disputes for those purchases are handled by Apple. Cancel an iOS subscription in your Apple ID subscriptions, not on this website. Android purchases use Google Play Billing. Cancel those in Google Play. We do not store full card numbers. If we still offer a purchase path outside the App Store or Google Play, that checkout provider processes the payment.
Processors and partners
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context advertising. We use these processors to run MAP & GO!:
- Supabase: account, database, and authentication.
- OpenAI: chat, photos you send to E.Y.E., and realtime voice. Processing is to provide the assistant, under OpenAI's API terms. We do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not permit OpenAI to train on this content. OpenAI may still retain data under its own abuse-monitoring rules.
- Apple: App Store payments, MapKit, WeatherKit, Apple Health, Calendar, Reminders, Sign in with Apple, push, widgets, Live Activities, Watch, iMessage, and Siri.
- Google: Sign in with Google, Calendar, Tasks, Health Connect on Android, and Play Billing.
- RevenueCat: subscription status for App Store purchases.
We also share information when you direct it (for example a message you send in iMessage), when you turn on a connected app, when the law or safety requires it, and if the company is sold. In a sale, data moves with the business under this policy.
Privacy controls
In Settings you can:
- Turn Save AI Chat History off. It is on by default.
- Turn Usage Analytics off. It is on by default. This covers product analytics and crash diagnostics.
- Delete imported health data from the cloud.
- Disconnect Apple or Google apps.
- Delete your account.
We do not train our models on your personal data, and we do not allow our AI vendor to train on it.
Retention
- Account data stays while the account is active.
- Chat stays according to your chat-history setting, until you delete it or delete the account.
- A saved place stays with the task or event until you change or delete that item, or delete the account.
- Imported workouts and sleep stay until you delete them, or delete the account, aside from short-lived backups and records required for law, security, or billing disputes.
Security
We protect the Service with encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. You can delete your account in Settings. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and the CCPA where they apply, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your information, and you can object to certain processing.
You can delete your account in Settings. For access or export requests, email [email protected].
International transfers
You may use MAP & GO! outside the United States. Supabase and OpenAI may process information in the United States. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
MAP & GO! is not for children. You must be at least 18 to use the Service.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email.
